Books and Bytes: On the Road with Library2Go! with Christine Anderson and Bruce Greeley.

The King County Library System, 2011 Library of the Year award winner, will discuss origins of centrally and locally operated Library2Go! outreach mobile services. The presentation focuses on why outreach has such a prominent role at KCLS and provides practical information on developing bookmobile and mobile computer lab services.

Christine Anderson is the Outreach Services Coordinator for the King County Library System, Washington. She has worked as a public librarian in three states. She has been with KCLS since 2005 and believes Outreach plays a vital role in keeping libraries fresh and relevant to the communities KCLS serves. Bruce Greeley, Outreach Mobile Services Manager, has been busy managing the many facets of the King County Library System’s bookmobile services over the last year. For more than a decade prior, he was a managing librarian of different branches within this same library system surrounding Seattle, Washington.
