How do libraries reach seniors who can no longer visit a library or participate in programs? Learn about one Florida project that trains volunteers to deliver stimulating activities with thoughtful discussion to seniors in assisted living facilities. It’s called Community Conversations – for Residents Most Experienced in Life.

Kathy Mayo (Fort Myers, Florida) spent 40 years in the field of library outreach, working with bookmobile, books-by-mail, literacy, multicultural, talking books, senior outreach, and assistive technology services. She is a frequent presenter at library conferences and also does freelance consulting in the areas of Library Outreach and grant writing/development.
