Social Media and Outreach: Share Resources, Highlight Services, and Build Support with John Amundsen.
Social media presents outreach librarians with a great opportunity to communicate value at a minimum of cost and time. This session will demonstrate how services like Facebook, Twitter, and Delicious can fit into an event’s communication strategy, using the 2012 National Bookmobile Day celebrations as an example. During this session, attendees will learn about choosing the right tools for the right message and how to strategically incorporate social media into their communications plan. Attendees are invited to share their own experiences in using social media to promote library services and events.
