This year, ABOS has decided to offer all of our merchandise on demand. In addition, we will have examples of all of the merchandise available at our conference – so you can “touch and feel” the item before making your purchase. We will NOT have merchandise available to sell at the conference – so if you are wanting to purchase items to show your support of ABOS, make sure you click on the following link today! http://www.cafepress.com/abos2
The ABOS Conference Planning Committee is pleased to provide presenter and workshop information for “Thinking Outside the Walls” ABOS Annual Conference:
Our keynote speaker was Dr. Gary Fountain, rector at Chatham Hall in Virginia, and author. He has been an English professor for many years and was instrumental in starting the iPad program at Chatham Hall. Dr. Fountain is the author of the critically praised Remembering Elizabeth Bishop: An Oral Biography.
Our author lunch, featuring Donald Ray Pollock, was free for all attendees! Mr. Pollock’s first book, Knockemstiff, won the 2009 PEN/Robert Bingham Fellowship. His work has appeared in The New York Times, Third Coast, The Journal, Sou’wester, Chiron Review, River Styx, Boulevard, Folio, Granta, NYTBR, Washington Square, and The Berkeley Fiction Review. The Devil All the Time is his first novel.
ABOS is making a lot of changes this year: a new logo, a new outlook and a new website is in the works. Every year our conference is “better than before,” and you won’t want to miss Thinking Outside the Walls. See you in Richmond!
